Tata's Fishing Trip

Every year my grandparent's make a trip out to Idaho and stay for a week. My Tata always looks forward to one day of fishing while he is here. Yesterday, we took him fishing and Tata and Hudsun had a bet to see who could catch the most fish. Well, needless to say, Hudsun won so Tata had to pay him a quarter for every fish that he caught! Poor Tata just wanted to catch fish so bad, heck my Dad, Hudsun, Mom and I all caught our fair share of fish but not Tata! Finally when it was quittin time Tata finally caught his first and only fish of the day we all hooped and hollered like little school children because he kept saying since he was from New Mexico the fish were scared of him and I guess that was the case!

Harvest Time!

For the last four years my Mom has planted this huge garden, and every year she always says "What was I thinking?" Ha well I know that I enjoy every aspect of having homegrown veggies on my table. While I was pouting around about Hudsun being away at school my Mom put me to work harvesting (Freezing) corn. Here as you can see it took an army of us just to get 68 bags done and we aren't even halfway done yet!

First Day of School!

Hudsun and his new teacher Mrs. Fuchs. Today turned out to be more of a trial for me than I thought it would be. How can five years just be gone like the snap of a finger? Yes, I cried like a baby, and then came home and cried somemore. Hudsun has been my little sidekick for so long it is like I have lost a part of me! I will miss him terribly but I know that mommy will get over it! I guess it is me and the dogs for now! Lol

Huhuhs Ginormous Garden!

Huhuh and Hudsun are quite the buddies, yesterday I was able to capture some photos of them goofing off in her garden!

Hudsun's greatest summer adventures have been with his favorite people ever! When I say that I really mean that. It is not his mom who brings great joy to him, but his Huuhuh and his Papa Ed. Most of the time you will find my little boy out on the Morning Star Organic farm helping or bossing the hired help and his Papa around. Hudsun has enjoyed helping papa Ed try out new tractor's, water the heifer's on Lita's place, and boss Alvino and Artimio around when they are changing handlines at the Pearson residence. Hudsun has been very fun to watch this summer. I swear he is going to be a Vet when he grows up. If a cow has milk fever he knows exactly what to give her and he knows exactly where it is. He also knows when a baby calf is scouring, and loves to check the babies and make sure that they have all drank their milk. Hudsun says that when he is ten he is going to move out of mommy's house and live with Papa Ed and HuuHuh I guess I had better prepare myself! Hudsun has also enjoyed walking the cow's in from summer pasture, checking pivot's with Papa Ed oh and tending to HuuHuh's enormous garden. Oh but it tastes sooooooo good!

We miss you!

As all of you may know, On August 10, 2007 I lost a great part of me. My son Wynston was stillborn. It has changed and shaped the course of my life in a positive way. I can't not post about this little guy who will forever be in my heart and the hearts of Joe and Hudsun. He will live on in our memories and family discussions forever. It has been two years now which is hard to believe. I thank all of you for helping and supporting me.

Oh the things we do!

My Hudsun was staying with his Huhhuh one day while I was at work she thought it was so funny that she captured this photo of my Hudsun! I am sure that when he gets older, he is going to hate this picture!

Hudsuns Summer Adventures

Hudsun kept me very busy at the start of the summer. Him being the only child I thought hmm I need to involve him in everything! What was I thinking? I know that he enjoyed every aspect of having "Friends." Hudsun started off by playing T-Ball which if you have ever been to a T-Ball game you as a parent are either laughing or yelling it seems like! We just want our kids to be the best and Hudsun well he just went to play Transformers, or Batman with the other boys. Against Shoshone Hudsun got to 2nd base and before we knew it he was wrestling the 2nd baseman to the ground. When he got into home plate I said "what on earth were you doing out there?" his response "I just wanted to see if that kid was tougher than me (eyebrows raised) and he was mom." I loved it at least he was honest!

Swimming lessons took on a whole new meaning for Hudsun this year he told me he wanted to be like Michael Phelps in the Olympics! Heck I was just happy he knew who Michael Phelps was! He started the season in level 2 and quickly passed to level 3 for a 5 year old I didn't think he did to shabby! LouAnn Axelson says he will be on the Swim Team when he gets older we'll see. I was proud it has been the only thing I have seen Hudsun really serious about. He hated to be late to his swimming lessons!
